How to prepare for RJS
- Master bare acts word-for-word for CPC, CrPC/BNSS, IPC/BNS, Evidence/BSA, Contract, TP Act, and Specific Relief Act, as RJS Prelims tests direct statutory provisions, illustrations, and landmark case holdings.
- Do not neglect the 30 marks of Hindi and English grammar in Prelims—because there is no negative marking, Prelims cut-offs often cross 70–80 out of 100, and language accuracy is the easiest way to secure a 10–12 mark buffer.
- Give special attention to minor acts in Criminal Law (NI Act Chapter XVII, Domestic Violence Act, JJ Act, POCSO, Probation of Offenders) and the Rajasthan Rent Control Act, 2001 in Civil Law, which yield high-scoring direct questions in both Prelims and Mains.
- Practice framing of issues, framing of charges, and complete civil and criminal judgment writing every week using past Rajasthan High Court Mains papers.
- Prepare 15–20 structured essays in both Hindi and English covering constitutional themes, women and child welfare laws, environmental jurisprudence, and Rajasthan's socio-cultural heritage to maximize your score in the 100-mark language Mains papers.
- Read the official RJS notification carefully for the exact pattern, eligibility and selection stages.
